Pompei and his special friend Sorrento found themselves at a rural pound at 9 years of age after their beloved owner passed away.
Pompei is a gentle soul with a heart of gold. He'll often initiate cuddles, nuzzle his head against you, give gentle head butts to show affection and will roll over and reach out to grab your hands with his paws if you aren’t giving him enough attention.
He is very curious about what’s going on outside so he would love a secure outdoor area where he can explore.
Don't let his age fool you! Pompei still has a spark and will often decide that it’s time for midnight zoomies.
He can be shy at first but once he learns to trust you he would love to find a comfortable spot on your bed. He’s a quiet sleeper and you won’t even know he’s there.
A very sweet and affectionate boy who also gets along with other cats.

Pompei has tested positive to Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), which might sound scary, but it truly isn't. It just means Pompei has a slightly weaker immune system, so if they get a sniffle, it's better to take them straight to the vet rather than adopting a 'wait and see' approach. Pompei can live happily with other cats that do not have FIV, therefore there is very minimal risk to any of the other cats in the household.
